Wheelers Hill families are about ten minutes' drive from MathsHub, which runs inside Glen Waverley Primary School at 774 High St Rd. We teach Maths and English to primary and secondary students in small groups, with every student on their own program.
Weekday afternoons can be tight when school finishes across the suburb. Our Sunday morning sessions run between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm, so students can do Maths, or Maths and English together, without rushing across after school. Weekday classes are also available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. See the full timetable.
We welcome students from Wheelers Hill Primary School, Jells Park Primary School, Brandon Park Primary School, Waverley Meadows Primary School, St Justin's Catholic Primary School and Good Shepherd School, as well as secondary students from Wheelers Hill Secondary College and Caulfield Grammar's Wheelers Hill campus. Because each child is assessed and taught at their own level, they slot straight in regardless of their school's curriculum.
Many Wheelers Hill parents come to us looking for more of a challenge for their child. Our students regularly take part in ICAS and the Australian Mathematics Competition, and many are selected for their school's maths extension programs. We don't teach to the test. We build the numeracy and problem-solving depth these competitions reward. Read how to prepare for ICAS Maths or ICAS English.
Our English program is built around reading comprehension, writing and vocabulary, the skills behind NAPLAN, ICAS and scholarship tests. Students can take Maths and English back to back in one visit. Read more about our approach to English.
